इतना मानूस न हो ख़ल्वत-ए-ग़म से अपनी 

तू कभी ख़ुद को भी देखेगा तो डर जाएगा 

Don't be so intimate with the privacy of sorrows. 

You' ll be afraid of self, looking at your 

class. 

डूबते डूबते कश्ती को उछाला दे दूँ 

मैं नहीं कोई तो साहिल पे उतर जाएगा 

Before drowning, let me bounce the boat

 once. 

Not I, but someone will reach the shore

 mass. 

ज़िंदगी तेरी अता है तो ये जाने वाला 

तेरी बख़्शिश तिरी दहलीज़ पे धर जाएगा 

Life is your gift, so while departing with

 you 

Lay your present on the doorstep 'n then

 pass. 

 

ज़ब्त लाज़िम है मगर दुख है क़यामत का 'फ़राज़' 

ज़ालिम अब के भी न रोएगा तो मर जाएगा 

Self control is needed but pain is intense 'Faraz'! 

If he doesn't cry still, will then go under

 grass.
