वो मुझ से इंतिहाई ख़ुश ख़फ़ा होने से पहले था। 

I was better than the angels, 

prior to be bad, at start.

He was very pleased with me, before anger was on chart. 

किया करते थे बातें ज़िन्दगी भर साथ देने की। 

मगर ये हौसला हम में जुदा होने से पहले था। 

We used to talk about being together life long. 

But that courage was there, before we were to part.

हक़ीक़त से ख़याल अच्छा है बेदारी से ख़्वाब अच्छा। 

तसव्वुर में वो कैसा सामना होने से पहले था। 

Thought is better than truth, dream better than the real. 

How was she in thoughts before confronting sweetheart 

किसी बिछड़े हुए का लौट आना ग़ैर मुमकिन है। 

मुझे भी ये गुमाँ इक तजुर्बा होने से पहले था। 

I too had thought so before an experience. 

That it's impossible to be back, after you depart. 

'शुअर' इससे हमें क्या इन्तिहा के बाद क्या होगा। 

बहुत होगा तो वो जो इब्तिदा होने से पहले था। 

 'Shuoor' what to me, what'll happen after end. 

To utmost it 'll be, what was before the start.
