साहिल पर अश'आर 16

अगर मौजें डुबो देतीं तो कुछ तस्कीन हो जाती।

किनारों ने डुबोया है मुझे इस बात का ग़म है।...... दिवाकर राही......

If waves would sink, some solace to think. 

I am drowned by shore,so aggrieved all the more. 

साहिल के सुकूँ से किसे इंकार है लेकिन। 

तूफ़ान से लड़ने का मज़ा और ही कुछ है।

.... आल-ए-अहमद-सुरूर....

Who can question the peace of shore ?

Fighting tempest is a charm to store.

मामूल पे साहिल रहता है, फ़ितरत पे समंदर होता है।

तूफ़ाँ जो डुबो दे कश्ती को कश्ती ही के अंदर होता है।.... मलिकज़ादा मंसूर....

Ordinary is shore, moody sea on roar. 

Tempest sinking ship, slips in it encore.

उस ना-ख़ुदा के ज़ुल्म-ओ-सितम हाय क्या करूँ।

कश्ती मिरी डुबोई है साहिल के आस-पास।...... हसरत मोहानी.......

About agonies of the boatman, what to talk ?

My boat near shore was given a knock !

मैं तो साहिल पे आकर रहा डूबता, दाग़ दिल पर लगा वो नहीं छूटता।

ग़म की कश्ती किनारे पे ले आई है, ख़ुशनुमा दिल सहारा है क्यों ढूँढता ?

I kept sinking near the shore, this scar shows all the more. 

Near the shore is boat of pain, whose search does heart retain

शाम के साहिल से उठ कर चल दिए, दिन समेटा रात के घर चल दिए।

हर तरफ़ से लौट कर आख़िर सभी, तेरे मक़्तल की तरफ़ सर चल दिए।

We left the evening shore, home for night, day in store. 

All turning from each side, 

heads to roll moved your side. 

कल रात में जिस राह से घर लौट के आया।

उस राह में बिखरे हुए कुछ ख़्वाब पड़े थे। हम लोग तो अख़लाक़ भी रख आए हैं 'साहिल'।

रद्दी के इसी ढेर में आदाब पड़े थे। 

..... ख़ालिद मलिक साहिल....

Homeward when I came last night. 

Scattered dreams on way were in sight. 

O'Sahil' left good manners of late.

In rubbish pile manners straight. 

सफ़र में कोई किसी के लिए ठहरता नहीं। न मुड़ के देखा कभी साहिलों को दरिया ने।...... फ़ारिग़ बुखरी......

None stays for another on the way. 

Moving stream leaves shores each day. 

नज़रों से नापता है समंदर की वुसअतें।

साहिल पे एक शख़्स अकेला खड़ा हुआ।

Measuring far stretch of ocean in view. 

Standing on shore lone man sans clue. 

मुसाफ़िर अपनी मंज़िल पर पहुँच कर चैन पाते हैं। 

वो मौजें सर पटकती हैं जिन्हें साहिल नहीं मिलता।.... मख़्मूर देहलवी..... 

Travellers find peace reaching goal ahead. 

Away from shore waves bang their head. 

मैं जिस रफ़्तार से तूफ़ाँ की जानिब बढ़ता जाता हूँ। 

उसी रफ़्तार से नज़दीक साहिल होता जाता है।..... अहसान दानिश..... 

The speed with which towards tempest I go. 

Shore's coming that fast, I very well know. 

कश्तियाँ डूब रही हैँ कोई साहिल लाओ। 

अपनी आँखें मिरी आँखों के मुक़ाबिल

 लाओ।.... जमुना प्रसाद राही..... 

Boats are sinking, bring near the shore. 

Bring your eyes near mine, a little more. 

धारे से कभी कश्ती न हटी और सीधी घाट पे आ पहुँची। 

सब बहते हुए दरियाओं के क्या दो ही किनारे होते हैं ?... आरज़ू लखनवी.... 

Boat kept with the waves 'n straight touched the shore. 

Are their only two shores for the streams on roar. 

आता है जो तूफ़ाँ आने दो कश्ती का ख़ुदा ख़ुद हाफ़िज़ है। 

मुमकिन है कि उठती लहरों में बहता हुआ साहिल आ जाए।... बहज़ाद लखनवी.... 

Let tempest come to nip, in care of Lord is the ship. 

It's possible in waves galore, swimming comes out the shore

जब अहसास की झील में हम ने दर्द का कंकर फेंका है। 

इक दिलकश से गीत का मंज़र तह के ऊपर उभरा है।...जाहिद अबरोल..... 

In the lake of feelings, when a pebble of pain is thrown. 

Heart rendering view of a song has surfaced, is well known. 

उदास छोड़ गए कश्तियों को साहिल पर। 

गिला करें भी तो क्या पार करने वालों से।
