KAIFI AAZMI.. GHAZAL

मैं ढूँडता हूँ जिसे वो जहाँ नहीं मिलता 

नई ज़मीन नया आसमाँ नहीं मिलता 

The world I search for, I can't find. 

A new earth, a new sky, I can't find. 

नई ज़मीन नया आसमाँ भी मिल जाए 

नए बशर का कहीं कुछ निशाँ नहीं मिलता 

Even if I can find new earth and sky. 

Impact of the new man I can't find. 

वो तेग़ मिल गई जिस से हुआ है क़त्ल मिरा 

किसी के हाथ का उस पर निशाँ नहीं मिलता 

Sword that killed me, had been traced. 

On it, no finger prints can you  find. 

वो मेरा गाँव है वो मेरे गाँव के चूल्हे 

कि जिन में शोले तो शोले धुआँ नहीं मिलता 

That's my village and it's hearths. 

Let aside embers, smoke you can't find. 

जो इक ख़ुदा नहीं मिलता तो इतना मातम क्यूँ 

यहाँ तो कोई मिरा हम-ज़बाँ नहीं मिलता 

Why be gloomy, if God is not traced. 

Who speaks same language, I can't find. 

खड़ा हूँ कब से मैं चेहरों के एक जंगल में 

तुम्हारे चेहरे का कुछ भी यहाँ नहीं मिलता 

I am standing in a jungle of faces. 

Nothing of your face here can I  find.
