ख़ुद दिल में तो रह के आँख से पर्दा करे कोई

हाँ लुत्फ़ जब है पा के भी ढूँढा करे कोई 

While staying within heart, eyes are screened by someone. 

Pleasure is when after finding you are searched by someone. 

तुम ने तो हुक्म-ए-तर्क-ए-तमन्ना सुना दिया

किस दिल से हाय तर्क-ए-तमन्ना करे कोई

You 've passed an order to renounce all desires.

In which way can the heart renounce someone.

दुनिया लरज़ गई दिल-ए-हिरमाँ-नसीब की

इस तरह साज़-ए-ऐश न छेड़ा करे कोई

World was shaken for the heart destined as reject.

Let not a pleasure instrument  be played by someone. 

मुझ को ये आरज़ू वो उठाएँ नक़ाब ख़ुद 

उन को ये इंतिज़ार तक़ाज़ा करे कोई 

It's my desire that she should unveil herself. 

While she waited for it being asked by someone. 

रंगीनी-ए-नक़ाब में  गुम हो गई है नज़र 

क्या बे-हिजाबियों का तक़ाज़ा करे कोई 

My glance was lost in the colours of her veil. 

How urge of being coyless be put before someone. 

या तो किसी को जुर्रत-ए-दीदार ही न हो

या फिर मिरी निगाह से देखा करे कोई 

Either none should be permitted to watch her at all. 

Or she be viewed with my attributes by someone. 

होती है इस में हुस्न की तौहीन ऐ 'मजाज़' 

इतना न अहल-ए-इश्क़ को रुस्वा करे कोई 

O 'Majaaz' it's a total dishonour for the beauty. 

That the lovers can this way be  disgraced by someone.
