Today to her first time, I was faithless not caring a dime. 

जो लोग गुज़रते हैं मुसलसल रह-ए-दिल से

दिन ईद का उन को हो मुबारक तह-ए-दिल से

Those who constantly pass, through road to heart cross. 

For day of Eid on their part, 

I greet from bottom of heart. 

उस से मिलना तो उसे ईद-मुबारक कहना 

ये भी कहना कि मिरी ईद मुबारक कर दे

If her you happen to meet,

 pass her my Eid greet.

meet and make my day. 

ये बे-ख़ुदी ये लबों की हँसी मुबारक हो 

तुम्हें ये सालगिरह की ख़ुशी मुबारक हो

A mindless smile as lips meet.

हसीन चेहरे की ताबिंदगी मुबारक हो

O frenzy it's once again, same calamity on head terrain. 

Heart is entangled in tress, same trouble I need address. 

छेड़ती हैं कभी लब को कभी रुख़्सारों को 

तुम ने ज़ुल्फ़ों को बहुत सर पे चढ़ा रक्खा है..... ग़ौस ख़ाह मख़ाह हैदराबादी.....

 At times it teases lips, 

gives cheeks lovely tips. 

Tress transgresses instead, you have put it on the head. 

जब यार ने उठा कर ज़ुल्फ़ों के बाल बाँधे 

तब मैं ने अपने दिल में लाखों ख़याल बाँधे..... मोहम्मद रफ़ी सौदा..... 

When it was tress that my love, lifted and tied in knot above. 

Then me too on my part, 

set lacs of thoughts in heart. 

बहुत मुश्किल है दुनिया का सँवरना 

तिरी ज़ुल्फ़ों का पेच-ओ-ख़म नहीं है

World is so difficult to dress.

 It isn't your disheveled tress. 

और इस से पहले कि साबित हो जुर्म-ए-ख़ामोशी

 have an opinion to express.

Opinion to ruin you, 

is within high sky's view. 

कौन सा जुर्म ख़ुदा जाने हुआ है साबित 

मशवरे करता है मुंसिफ़ जो गुनहगार के साथ..... सलीम सिद्दीक़ी..... 

Which crime God only knows, that this approval bestows. 

That judge and the convict, seek opinions for  verdict. 

मैं जुर्म का ए'तिराफ़ कर के 

कुछ और है जो छुपा गया हूँ 

..... जौन एलिया..... 

 About the crime, I did endorse. 

Concealed something of course. 

जुर्म में हम कमी करें भी तो क्यूँ 

तुम सज़ा भी तो कम नहीं करते

Why should I reduce the crime? 

Sentence! You don't cut a

 dime. 

ज़िंदगी से बड़ी सज़ा ही नहीं 

और क्या जुर्म है पता ही नहीं

And you don't even know the offence.

Who can seek advice? 

About your virtue 'n vice! 

मुन्सिफ़ हो अगर तुम तो कब इंसाफ़ करोगे 

मुजरिम हैं अगर हम तो सज़ा क्यूँ नहीं देते..... अहमद फ़राज़..... 

When you have to decide, 

how can you judge my side? 

Why don't you penalize? 

If my crime is that size ! 

मेरा क़ातिल ही मेरा मुंसिफ़ है 

क्या मिरे हक़ में फ़ैसला देगा

My murderer is my judge. 

In my favour will he fudge? 

वो अफ़्साना जिसे अंजाम तक लाना न हो मुमकिन

A tale that can't be lead, 

to a conclusion, instead.
